2008 National Internship and Co-op Study
The 2008 National Internship and Co-op Study Is Underway!
Over the past several years, Intern Bridge has conducted some of the most monumental and landmark research projects in the field of experiential education. Our surveys continue to be the largest student-driven internship-focused research instruments in the nation. The 2008 National Internship and Co-op Study is no exception
and is promised to be a research project like none other.
The study is being supported, in part, by a grant from the NACE Foundation.
As with all of our past research, the survey is collecting internship and co-op related information from students in all of the key areas of experiential programming. The areas being measured include why students pursue internships and co-ops (and why some do not), program structure, supervisors, marketing, orientation, evaluation compensation, benefits, and so much more. The comprehensive survey is collecting data surrounding both the expectations of students who have not yet participated in an internship or co-op, and the students that have completed an experience.
By conducting this research on a national level, Intern Bridge is able to track regional trends. This study provides an extensive amount of information to the higher education community, and the employers who hire students as part of these important developmental experiences.
