2024 Employer Internship Program Survey
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Employer Internship Program Survey and invite you to participate in this important initiative by encouraging the organizations you collaborate with to complete the survey.

We will then follow up providing you with sample emails for you to easily copy, paste, and send to the organizations you work with. We recognize that your current role keeps you busy, so we’ll ensure your involvement is minimal while providing all the tools you need for effective communication.
Recognizing a significant gap in existing research—particularly the absence of studies that examine internships from the employer’s perspective—this new initiative seeks to address key questions such as:
- How are internship programs managed across different types of organizations?
- In what ways do organizations provide interns with a realistic preview of the professional world?
- What role does professional development play in shaping the internship experience?
We expect to publish the results in Spring 2025, and all who share the survey will receive a complimentary copy of the executive summary, as well as the full report and access to a live results webinar at a significantly discounted rate.
Internships and experiential learning opportunities are more crucial than ever in helping students transition into the workforce. The insights gained from this survey will inform best practices shared during our future Internship Program Success Academies and other employer-focused offerings. Additionally, the findings will offer valuable guidance to our higher education partners about employer needs, enabling institutions to better support internship program management.
