Over the last 28 years, Dr. Robert Shindell has served as an experiential education thought leader and practitioner, as well as a senior administrator in both public and private institutions of higher education. Through his highly acclaimed Total Internship Management Workshop, Dr. Shindell has trained thousands of employers to build and sustain meaningful internship programs across the country. He has also worked with hundreds of colleges and universities in the workforce development area, as well as developing comprehensive strategic initiatives, supporting plan implementation, and building successful teams.
Dr. Shindell also serves as a member of the Distinguished Scientists Advisory Board for the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) to maximizing The United States Department of Energy’s strategic objectives. In addition to expanding ORISE thought leadership, the DSAB works closely with ORISE leadership, technical experts and liaisons to ensure that strategic milestones related to ORISE activities are met.
Dr. Shindell earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University, a master’s degree in training and development from Midwestern State University, and a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Toledo. Dr. Shindell is a member of the Global MBA Faculty at Southern New Hampshire Univeristy where he teaches Strategic Opportunity Management, Leadership & Organizational Behavior.
Dr. Shindell is originally from Lancaster County Pennsylvania, but currently resides in Austin, Texas with his wife of 17 years, Christy. Robert and Christy have two amazing kids, Jack (13) and Charley (9). When not working, Dr. Shindell is active in his children’s school and sports activities as well as serving on various volunteer boards for the Leander (TX) Independent School District.
Over the last decade, Christine has been an experiential education program manager, a career coach and has successfully held professional leadership roles in public institutions of higher education. Her experience working with employers goes back to the start of her career when she managed internship and co-op programs assisting organizations in building meaningful internship programs to better engage the students she served. Christine is also a design thinking enthusiast and views internships and other experiential education activities as ways students can prototype career paths before graduation. She obtained training from Stanford’s Life Design Lab and learned to create and launch designing thinking courses at universities. Christine continues to be uniquely skilled at integrating the designing thinking mindsets and practices into her work with employers and is constantly evolving the Total Internship Management workshop to encourage HR professionals to learn by doing and through feedback to identify new solutions.
Christine also serves as a member of the Cooperative Education and Internship Association (CEIA), a non-profit organization committed to providing professional development and resources to practitioners in the fields of cooperative education and internship program management. Within her first year with Intern Bridge, she developed a partnership with CEIA to assist them in maximizing employer involvement within the organization through various organizational programming.
Christine earned a master’s degree in Higher Education from Penn State, two bachelor’s degrees in Childhood Education and Mathematics from the State University of New York at Cortland and 2 certifications in Supervisory Essentials and Effective Management from the University of South Carolina.
Christine is inspired daily by her husband Kyle, and they currently reside wherever they park their fifth wheel RV! She is originally from Penn Yan, New York and when they aren’t traveling, you will find them spending quality time with their families and enjoying their adorable golden retriever pup.
As President of 815 Media, he oversees client relations, web maintenance, and the creation of customized digital solutions. Beyond his professional achievements, Kevin actively engages with his community as a member of the Peru Rotary Club and Ambassador at the Illinois Valley Area Chamber of Commerce. He enjoys spending time with his two daughters while nurturing his passion for AI and exploring new horizons through travel.
She graduated from State University of New York at Oswego in May 2022 with a BFA in Graphic Design and a Minor in Illustration. Caroline also founded CM Creatives Co. where she creates a variety of marketing collateral for companies all over the United States. While completing her undergraduate degree, she has had several internships and other opportunities with SUNY Oswego Admissions, Career Services, and Fingerpaint. Outside of Intern Bridge, Caroline works for Cornell University at eCornell as an Assistant Graphic Designer.
Outside of her creative life, Caroline enjoys film photography, scrolling on TikTok for hours to learn the newest social media trends, and playing with her cat Loki where she resides in Syracuse, NY.
