This week I am visiting with Zen Parry from Salish Kootenai College in Pablo, Montana.  Salish Kootenai College is one of the 37 tribal colleges in the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) that serves 130,000 students. Zen arrived at SKC just over a year ago, brining extensive experience with tribal environments internationally, employability skills and transition models, work-integrated learning and experiential education, with a focus in Business and Entrepreneurship studies.

In that short period of time Zen has implemented a new internship model to accommodate the ‘international’ elements of working with almost 70 different tribal students from across the US.

Please watch the video as we discuss how she and her team are transforming the culture at Salish Kootenai College and helping their students make a meaningful transition to the next chapter of their lives…
